Reasons why people choose funs brewing's Sake no Hana series

A craft beer made with sake lees and sake yeast that goes well with Japanese food. A unique concept of "exclusive to ___".

The number of craft beer breweries in Japan is increasing year by year, and as of 2025 there are approximately 900. However, domestic consumption of beer itself is decreasing year by year.

In this environment, we believe that in addition to making delicious beer, it is also important to provide "new and special experiences through beer," and we aimed to create the craft beer that "is the most interesting in the world when paired with Japanese food."

The "Sakanohana Series" is made using an exquisite combination of sake lees and sake yeast, making it a craft beer that pairs well with Japanese food.

The Sake no Hana series features six types of sake that make pairing with Japanese food the most interesting in the world.

The six types of Sake no Hana series were developed by listening to the opinions of many people, including beer experts, Japanese food experts, as well as general craft beer fans and Japanese food fans.

・[For Tempura] Sake no Hana Saison ・[For Yakitori] Sake no Hana Pale Ale ・[For Curry] Sake no Hana Session IPA
・[For sushi only] Sake no Hana Weizen ・[For sukiyaki only] Sake no Hana Red Ale ・[For shabu shabu only] Sake no Hana Hazy IPA

At the pairing events we hold regularly , we receive comments such as "Craft beer and Japanese food is an unexpected combination," "It was a fun first experience," "This is the first time I've tried a beer like this," "The ginjo aroma is great," "I've only ever drunk sake, but I'd like to try this beer," and "This is the first time I've found a beer that goes well with sashimi ." The reason we only sell 100 bottles per month is because we make it in smaller tanks, taking 1.5 times as long.

The Sake no Hana series is produced by funs brewing's Product Development Manager, Tada Kazunori (a beer judge who judges beer at domestic beer competitions), in collaboration with his partner, who has 10 years of brewing experience and is highly skilled in handling sake lees and sake yeast.

The amount that can be produced in one brewing process is about 1/2000 of that of major beer manufacturers, and the time it takes to make the beer is 1.5 times longer than other ale-based craft beers.

As each beer is hand-brewed, the only places you can enjoy Sake no Hana beer at the moment are funs brewing stores, some restaurants and hotels, etc. We sell a limited number of 100 bottles (per brand) per month on our EC site.
